Aila Tamang was born in the Khotang District, which is also known as the Lower Everest region of Nepal. He began his trekking career in 2012 as a porter. Aila has a passion for learning and constantly strives to gain knowledge. Over the years, he has developed skills in various areas such as cooking, guiding, and trekking. He has worked as a cook helper, service guide, cook, and trekking guide.

Since 2018, he has worked as a guide leading groups through the Himalayas. He is passionate about taking clients to remote and wilderness destinations. He has led groups to various parts of Nepal, including Kanchenjunga Base Camp, Tsum Valley, Manaslu Circuit, Annapurna Circuit, Langtang Region, Upper Mustang, and of course the Everest Region of Nepal.

Aila leads challenging camping treks from his base at Camping Base Trek, in many remote trekking destinations across Nepal. He is known for his friendly, helpful, and adventurous personality.
