We had so much fun and a lot of laughs with you guys! Even in hard times and the bad case situation (like an evacuation handled without losing the mind but with calmness and clear actions) everything was very well organized: it couldn't have been any better in Switzerland! Knowledge, experience, organization and strength of purpose as well as precision, meet together with flexibility, spontaneity, humor and empathy as well as compassion, this is what I call a great performance! This is a difficult thing to gauge. We have seen everything from USD 25 to USD 900 per person for guides and porters. Tipping is not required, but a small gesture of thanks to your guides and local porters. The level of the tip should reflect the level of satisfaction from and personal involvement with your guide. However, we recommend you to spend a minimum of 10% of your total trip cost for tipping the entire local staff.
