Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    On arrival in Kathmandu international airport received with warm welcome by our Visit Himalaya guides and staff, and then transfer you to respective hotels around hub of Kathmandu. After checking into your rooms, our guide briefs with information of “Discover Nepal Tour" with Jungle Safari include welcome dinner in a nice typical Nepali restaurant with culture program.

  • Day 02: In Kathmandu with sightseeing.

    Morning sightseeing tour around Kathmandu you will be engrossed at places of interest on this day for 4-5 hours of enjoyable and impressive tour visiting world heritage sites of temples-monasteries-Stupas with old royal palace courtyard. Kathmandu, steeped with ancient heritage sites and monuments of both Hindu and Buddhist, morning after breakfast our tours starts with a short drive to Swayambhunath, a popular and famous pilgrimage sites for Buddhist and Hindu as well. An ancient Chaitiya of Asia and a major symbol of Nepal’s Buddhist heritage, Swayambhunath represents Primordial Buddha or Adi-Buddha. After Swayambhunath tour leads to Bouddhanath, an important Buddhist pilgrimage and heritage sites in Nepal. The story and history mentions that this Stupa contains relics of Buddha Kashyapa, with 176 miniature stupas and paintings of Tibetan Buddhist pantheons cover the walls that surround the Stupa at Bouddhanath. Bouddhanath Stupa is an important pilgrimage site for Tibetans which is mentioned in Tibetan classical texts such as Biography of Yeshe Tshogyal (A.D. 8-9) and Padma Ka’thang (A.D.14). After lunch at Bouddhnath in a nice restaurant a short drive to famous Hindu Temple of Pashupatinath, placed by the bank of Bagamati River where all Hindu cremation takes places. A magnificent golden roofed temples with four cardinal silver doors the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, in ‘Shiva Ratri’ which falls in mid February a great celebration and pilgrimage takes places flooded with worshippers from Nepal and India. In the end of the day a short drive in the hub of Kathmandu visit old Durbar square with ancient Malla and Shah dynasty palace includes visit of Kumari Temple nearby where Living Goddess “Kumari” resides, tour of famous Khastamandap temple where Kathmandu got its name, as Khastamandap meaning temple built from a wood of a single tree. After a wonderful sightseeing tour back to hotel and stay over night at Hotel.

  • Day 03: Tour of Patan and Bhaktapur.

    Morning short drive to Bhaktapur a medieval period city, located east of Kathmandu; Bhaktapur 3rd largest city around Kathmandu valley, this old city was once a capital of Nepal during great Malla Kingdom from 12th to 15th century. Bhaktapur means the city of Devotees, here visit famous heritage places situated at 1,401 meter home to traditional art and architecture, pottery and weaving industries, rich local customs and culture as every-day life of Bhaktapur people. Places of interest in Bhaktapur: Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Naytapola Temple, The Bhaktapur National Art Gallery & Bhairavnath Temple of Bhaktapur - After a pleasant and exciting time in Bhaktapur drive back to Kathmandu with free afternoon at leisure.

  • Day 04: Drive to Chitwan National Park - 05 hrs.

    Starting early morning after breakfast for an interesting overland drive to Chitwan National Park where deep dense jungles are located in the mid southern low land of Nepal known as the Terai. After a scenic driving past many villages and towns reaching outskirt of Chitwan National Park where all nice hotels-lodge and resorts are placed, at Chitwan using the best hotels or resort for 2 overnight stops, after lunch a short introductory tour or nature walks with dinner accompanied by local Tharu culture dance programs.

  • Day 05: Full day jungle activities with elephant ride and safari.

    Full day jungle and nature programs starting early morning before breakfast with varieties of activities includes elephant safari (morning or late afternoon) jungle / nature walks-bird watch tour, canoe ride to see crocodile and water birds, jungle drive with enjoyable elephant bathing and briefing, afternoon Jungle drive / Jungle or Nature walks or elephant safari (if not done earlier).

  • Day 06: Drive to Lumbini - 05 hrs.

    Morning with short nature programs and activities, after breakfast drive to Lumbini taking 4-5 hours to reach Buddha’s birth place in the comfort of nice hotels and resorts, here the temperatures are much warmer like in Chitwan located on the Mid Far West plain of Nepal close to India border.

  • Day 07: Morning visit Buddha’s birth place and interesting sites.

    Morning tour around Lord Buddha birth place which holds a special place in the world of Buddhism. It is also mentioned in the Mahaparinibbana Sutta that the Buddha advised his followers to visit Lumbini. Emperor Asoka of Magadha Kingdom of India made a pilgrimage in 3rd Century BC and built world famous pillar with inscription stating”Here Lord Buddha was born”. Chinese pilgrims Tsen Tsai (4th Century A.D.), Fa-hsien (5th Century A.D.) and Hiuen-Tsang(7th Century A.D.) accounted their travel to Lumbini mentioning that they witness the holy tree, the pond, stupas and shrines. Hiuen Tsang described the Asoka Pillar with a horse capital on the top of it. Temple of Maya Devi, mother of Lord Buddha has been recently renovated under the vigilance of UNESCO. Several foreign monasteries and stupas have been constructed in Lumbini area.

  • Day 08: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

    Early morning start on long and interesting overland drive to Kathmandu, as the drive leads back near Chitwan area and then following Trisuli River for sometimes, after 6-7 hours of scenic drive leading uphill to reach Kathmandu stay overnight at Hotel at Kathmandu.

  • Day 09: Free day in Kathmandu for individual activities and shopping.

    A free and leisure day in Kathmandu after a long interesting drive from Far Mid West Nepal on visiting Lumbini, Optional you can do scenic Mount Everest flight.

  • Day 10: International departure for home ward bound.

    A representative from Visit Himalaya Treks Pvt. Ltd. will check your flight tickets and transfer you to the airport before two hours from your flight with a hope of seeing you again in the future. (Breakfast included).
