Winter is very cold in the Kanchenjunga region. Teahouses in the alpine region remain closed due to heavy snowfall. Selele Le Pass becomes impassable due to snow and slippery ice. You must check the availability of accommodation in Khambachen and Lhonak; check-in is available at Ghunsa. While in Sherpaguan, check accommodation will be available in Cheram and Ramche sections.
